Engaging with young people in tenant participation practices

TIS want to hear from you. The Scottish Government has commissioned the Tenants Information Service (TIS) to conduct a Thematic Study which will explore levels of involvement of young people in tenant scrutiny and participation practices.

24% of Scotland’s population is aged between 16-34 years old. At present it is unclear how many of these young people currently engage with their landlord in shaping the delivery of the housing services that they receive – and if there are any opportunities available that are tailored to suit this audience.

The results of the Thematic Study will support housing organisations across the Scottish social housing sector to develop and strengthen opportunities with this often difficult to reach sector of the population. Results will be published, and will identify challenges, opportunities, and good practice activities that will be widely available and promoted throughout Scotland.

TIS kindly asks that housing organisations support this research and spare a few minutes to complete a short survey: www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/8DQSPPH

The closing date for responses is 5:00pm, on Friday 26th February 2021.
