From Tuesday 5th – Thursday 7th October, the jam-packed agenda spans 3 half-days and boasts an unrivalled lineup of speakers; engaging panel debate; meaningful workshops; and brings the sector together to drive forward as a collective to develop housing in Scotland for the better.

Hugely inspiring the conference offers more than 15 live broadcast sessions and will explore creative approaches to ensure that we continue to build a housing system that is resilient enough to respond to future changes, and tackles some of the most pertinent challenges.

With just 7 weeks until the event kicks off, the closing date to secure your place is fast approaching. Here are the reasons why you can’t miss out:

  • Explore Housing to 2040 and discuss what needs to be in place to make this a reality. We are delighted that Shona Robison MSP, Cabinet Secretary for Social Justice, Housing and Local Government will join us and manifest this key theme – providing an overview of the Scottish Governments vision and route map. An ambition for everyone to have a safe, good quality, and affordable home that meets their needs in the place they want to be.

  • The event is hugely inspiring and boasts an array of innovative workshops led by leaders from throughout the Scottish social housing sector. You’ll hear from organisations including: Health and Social Care Alliance Scotland; Disability Equality Scotland; Scotland’s Housing Network; and CIH Scotland.

  • Become immersed in our meaningful, innovation theatres that will encourage you to reflect on your goals, identify opportunities, and move forward with action. Innovation theatre sessions include: The Space Project; The Claypits (Glasgow’s only inner-city nature reserve); and CentreStage.

  • The Big Debate: Delivering Scotland’s Housing live panel discussion invites Professor Ken Gibb, Director at UK Collaborative Centre for Housing Evidence; Shaheena Din, National Project Manager at Empty Homes Partnership; Janelle Couper, Tenant Service Improvement Group at Maryhill Housing Association; and Aaron Hill Director of Policy and Membership at SFHA to share facts, offer opinions, and discuss the key challenges and opportunities to deliver affordable, sustainable, and carbon-free homes.

TIS has carefully selected virtual engagement platform, EventsAIR to host the event as it will allow us to reach more people than ever before. The software encourages delegates to connect with one another via the built in Meeting Hub where participants can make the most of private chat sessions and schedule one-to-one video and audio calls. The platform’s social wall also allows you to keep up with all of the live action; highlights; and opportunities to engage in real time.

Delegates will receive the link to access EventsAIR around 48 hours before the conference is due. This will allow you to familiarise with the software, its features, and how to join live sessions. Throughout the duration of the conference dedicated technical support will be available should you have any issues.
