TIS National Excellence Awards 2015

The TIS National Excellence Awards recognise and celebrate the outstanding work of those who are committed to making a true difference within the Scottish housing sector.
2015 Winners Announced
The TIS National Excellence Awards 2015 hosted by Glasgow born actress, Libby McArthur, saw tenant and resident groups and landlords come out on top as they scooped the top prizes for their outstanding work and commitment.
In 2015, the Tenants Information Service (TIS) received a high number of fantastic nominations, all of which highlighted the positive outcomes that can be achieved through tenant participation when landlords and tenants work together.
TIS were thrilled to announce the winners of the 2015 TIS National Excellence Awards, in association with The Scottish Government and sponsored by Dundee City Council:
Frances Nelson MBE Excellence Award

Winner: Alison Kerr, Five Sisters Housing Network
Tenant Participation Champion
Presenter: Susan McLellan, The Scottish Government
Winner: Tracey Wilson, North Ayrshire Council
Community Development Excellence Award
Presenter: Margaret McDougall MSP, Convenor of the Cross Party Group on Housing
Winner: Community Action Blackburn
Tenants & Residents Organisation of the Year
Presenter: Richard Hewgill, Vice-President of the International Union of Tenants.
Winner: Gauchalland East Tenants and Residents Association
Scrutiny Excellence Award
Presenter: Ilene Campbell, TIS Chief Executive
Winner: East Ayrshire Council
Most Inspiring Scrutiny Group
Presenter: Danny Mullen, Convenor of TIS.
Winner: Thenue Housing Association’s Resident Empowerment Scrutiny Team
