Annual general meeting with special guest speaker

Join us at the TIS AGM 2025 to hear from special guest speaker Mark Cody, founder of ‘Granborghini– a service that helps elderly community members fight off loneliness with supercar rides

   Thursday 4th December
  2:00pm – 4:00pm
  Virtual meeting, via Zoom

The TIS AGM invites our membership community to come together and join us in reflecting on our pinnacle achievements and highlights from the past year – and as we look ahead to an exciting future, leading the way as experts in housing, community development, and engagement practice.

Mark Cody founded Granborghini after a personal tragedy within his own family during the COVID-19 pandemic, losing his grandmother to suicide brought on by loneliness.

Granborghini is a creative, fun and exciting way to raise awareness of elderly people experiencing loneliness and isolation, with the aim of getting to know elderly community members, understanding their challenges and connecting them with likeminded people- all while having a bit of fun! Volunteers who own super cars, like Lamborghinis, Ferraris or McLarens are matched with elderly community members to take them out for a ride.

Speaking to the BBC, Mark said:

We’ve had people step out of the car and say ‘I feel like a rock star’ or ‘I feel 20 years younger’.

It’s so heart-warming and overwhelming emotionally to see people’s reactions.”

Granborghini has been featured on ITV’s ‘This Morning’ as well as local and national news. Join us at the AGM to hear more about Mark’s incredible story.
