What we do
We deliver independent advice, training, and support to tenants, communities, and housing organisations to build effective partnerships and develop the skills, confidence, and knowledge needed for meaningful tenant participation, engagement, and scrutiny.
Our services are inclusive, accessible, and relevant to the needs of tenants, housing organisation, and the wider sector – responsive to the changing dynamics of the housing landscape.
We create meaningful pathways to ensure decision makers hear directly from those with lived experiences – and work in partnership with The Scottish Government, Scottish Housing Regulator, and other key decision makers.
We work nationally and internationally to promote best practice in tenant participation and engagement.
We ensure our members’ voices are heard and play a vital role in shaping and influencing national housing policy and practice.
We are committed to a housing system where the voices of tenants are not only heard but actively drive meaningful change at every level.
Through the support that TIS provides, housing organisations embed a culture of genuine tenant participation and engagement, from frontline services to the Boardroom – strengthening transparency, trust, and tenant satisfaction across the sector
