Fair Work First statement

Fair Work First is the Scottish Government’s policy for driving good quality and fair work in Scotland. At TIS we have policies, procedures and processes which support the development of a positive and inclusive working environment and culture, where all the work force has the right to fair treatment, respect, and continuous professional development:

  • TIS is supportive of the Real Living Wage and reviews our rates of pay regularly and in line with cost of living.
  • TIS is committed to its investment in workforce training and development.
  • TIS does not use zero‐hours contracts.
  • TIS takes action to tackle the gender pay gap and create a more diverse and inclusive workplace.
  • TIS is committed to equal opportunities in its recruitment and selection processes.
  • TIS provides an induction programme to support new starts.
  • TIS offers flexible and family friendly working practices for all workers from day one of employment.
  • TIS undertakes annual performance appraisals to support employee performance.
  • TIS opposes the use of fire and rehire practice, and works to avoid such an approach in any circumstance.
