TIS kindly asks delegates attending the TIS National Housing Conference to bring along donations for the Trussell Trust
At the conference, TIS is raising awareness and supporting the Trussell Trust emergency foodbank appeal and kindly asks guests to bring along a food donation and other essentials.
Trussell Trust are an anti-poverty charity and community of food banks. They work together to ensure no one in the UK needs a food bank to survive, while providing emergency support for people left without enough money to live on. There are 1,400 Trussell Trust food bank locations, supported by 36,000 volunteers, 12,000 churches, 100,000s of community groups and schools, and millions of people around the UK.
Take a look at what’s in a food parcel to see what items to donate, and don’t forget that food banks also accept essential non-food items such as toiletries and hygiene products.
